The Iron Pickaxe is the tier-3 mining tool in Core Keeper, crafted at the Iron Anvil after you reach The Forgotten Ruins. It unlocks gold and scarlet ore mining, the gateway to late-early-game equipment.
Use
- Mines Gold Ore and Scarlet Ore
- Faster on earlier ores than the Tin Pickaxe
- Required before the first three bosses for the recommended Iron gear tier

- Copper Pickaxe → mine Tin in The Clay Caves
- Tin Pickaxe → mine Iron in The Forgotten Ruins
- Iron Pickaxe → mine Gold / Scarlet for Iron-tier equipment
