Core Keeper Boss Guide — All 7 Bosses, Drops, Locations and Strategies

Last updated: 2026-10-18

Core Keeper’s boss order follows your tool progression: three bosses around the Core must fall before it powers up, then the outer-ring titans open endgame content. This Core Keeper boss guide lists every boss, where they spawn, how to summon them and what they drop.

The three early bosses (power up the Core)

Defeat all three and place their drops on the effigies next to the Core to activate it.

Boss Location Drops Recommended gear
Glurch the Abominable Mass ~65 tiles from Core, random angle; screen shakes nearby Glurch Eye (100%), Copper/Tin Ore, Copper Ring Tin or better
Ghorm the Devourer ~250 tiles; circles the Core on an 8-tile-wide track Ghorm’s Horn (100%), Iron Ore, Ancient Gem, Ghorm’s Jaw Iron
Hive Mother ~330 tiles in Larva Hive (Clay Caves sub-biome) Heart of the Hive Mother (100%), Larva Hive Chest, Golden Larva pet (rare) Iron

Boss 1 — Glurch: a slow melee slime. Keep distance, dodge its jumps, and don’t let it corner you against walls. Tin gear is comfortable; the fight is a movement check more than a DPS check.

Boss 2 — Ghorm: always moving, always circling the Core, plowing through everything. You’ll cross its 8-tile-wide track eventually no matter which direction you explore. Ground slimes spawn along the track — clear the track first, then damage Ghorm between its passes. Iron gear recommended.

Boss 3 — Hive Mother: inside the Larva Hive dungeon in the Clay Caves. Craft the Hive Mother Scanner from Glurch’s effigy to reveal its exact position. Kill adds first; Iron gear recommended.

The outer-ring titans

Boss Location Summon Drops
Malugaz the Corrupted Forgotten Ruins (optional) Corrupted Core Malugaz’s Skull, Corrupted Chest
Azeos the Sky Titan Azeos’ Wilderness arena Azeos Summoning Idol Azeos’ Claw (100%), Sky Chest, Azeos’ Feather (rare)
Omoroth the Sea Titan Sunken Sea Omoroth Summoning Idol Required progression drops, Sea Chest

After the Core activates, follow the Core’s hint to the Great Wall gates and into the outer biomes. Azeos is a flying arena boss — bring ranged options; Omoroth fights in water, so movement is everything.

Multiplayer scaling

Boss health and characteristics scale with the number of connected players (each extra player adds less than the last). Enemy health doesn’t scale — but more enemies spawn around each player over time. In Hard mode, all enemies and bosses have doubled health and damage, with 50% more loot slots in boss chests as the only reward.
